How to turn off hibernation

Summary:

This process is used for disabling/re-enabling hibernation mode.

Actions:

Disabling Hibernation

Go to start menu, type “cmd” open up the command prompt.

[Make sure you are an Administrator] 

1. Type “powercfg.exe /hibernate off"
2. ENTER.
3. Type “exit”
4. ENTER.

This will remove Hiberfil.sys file 

Enabling Hibernation

Go to start menu, type “cmd” open up the command prompt.

[Make sure you are an Administrator] 

1. Type “powercfg.exe /hibernate on"
2. ENTER.
3. Type “exit”
4. ENTER.
